Hi everyone.

The card I have bought recently is the 980 Matrix Platinum, which requires 2x 8pin power connections.

The Power Supply (850 G2) that I have supports this, and I have the required cables, 2x 6+2pin cables, but I was wondering if they have to be connected to 1 outlet on the PSU, or can each cable be connected to one of the outlets labeled VGA.

Regards.

From my experience, most PSUs have one PCI-E power cable per port. They dont tend to run more than one per cable due to voltage and power consistency.

You should most certainly dedicate each power cable to its own "outlet" give your GPU as stable and ample a power supply as possible.
