Hello.

My machine's speficiations are:

Processor: Intel Core i5-4590.
Memory: 4GB, going to get another 4GB stick (On that note, should I just get a 8GB stick instead of 4's?).
Motherboard: Asus H97M-E.
Power Supply: Seasonic 500W.

I'm not sure which graphics card I should get. I'm going for heavy gaming (I couldn't until now because I currently have HD 4770). I was thinking about GTX 970, but I'm not sure if my power supply can handle it + I think it's a bit overkill for my system. Is there something before it? GTX 960 seems like the right choice, but I don't want to wait until it's out in around a month or so. I want it now.

Thanks.

I would go for the 970 your power supply will handle it no problem and its not overkill just get another 4gb stick of ram (make sure it is EXACTLY the same specs and brand as the ram you already have in there) You are much better off using two sticks of 4gb rather than one of 8gb with two sticks you are in duel channel mode which increases performance. Waiting for the 960 to come out is probably the best choice if you dont want to spend the money on a 970 but your system will handle a 970 just fine.

It helps to get memory of the same quality and quantity.

Any 970 is best for heavy gaming, your PSU is adequate.

A SSD is no longer a luxury, rather a necessity.
