I would go with the R9 380 in this case, because one, it's newer. Second, it's faster on most games by about 5-10fps depending what resolution you're playing at, and settings.. And it's cheaper by $15.

I didn't see that, what would be the big advantage of that one over the 380? and the same price... lol
 
Your build link does not work for me.
The key to how good a graphics card you can use is the psu.
Here is a chart to help:

The R9-380 will want a 550w psu.
The GTX960 will need 430w.

A synthetic benchmark will show the R9-380 as a bit stronger, but in actual gameplay, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference from a GTX960.
And, the results could be reversed based on a particular game.
