Hello guys,

I have new Aspire MC605, im having problem upgrading graphic card.

My graphic Card: Gigabyte Nvidia GT 630 2048MB DDR3.

What i have done:
1. Change power supply from present to 500W power supply which my graphic card recommend minimum of 350W.
2. I insert my new graphic card with anti-static glove and connect video cable to graphic card/motherboard.
3. Switch on but no signal.
4.i take out Graphic card and connect to motherboard ( video cable )
5. window start normally.
6. Than, i try to install the graphic driver but " cannot find compatible graphic card hardware ".

Is there a way to install my graphic card driver if window cannot start as i insert my graphic card ( video cable already try connect both motherboard/graphic card ).

Please help..Thank You

try to solve the problem: ( Step 1 )
This is how i did..
i take out Graphic card and insert video cable to mobo ( windows working normally )
start and i press del,Under my BIOS setting: i wake up the system of PCIe by enabling it under power section.
i cannot find any integrated changes to PCIe or PEG ( which i try research on youtube which is under 'chipset'/'southern' in bios setting )
Than switch off the pc and insert my new graphic card and insert the video cable to my new graphic card but the result is still the same ( 'No Signal' )

another try: ( Step 2 )
I take out the graphic card,
i switch off my pc, i take out the CMOS and i research on youtube again on how to reset the BIOS which there is 3 pin on my motherboard and i try to follow step by step on how to reset the BIOS.
After reset BIOS and take out CMOS. i put back my battery.
start and i press del,Under my BIOS setting: i wake up the system of PCIe by enabling it under power section.
than save setting and exit.
i put back my new graphic and insert video cable again there still no signal and the desktop running smoothly ( evething looks fine ).
I try to use different Graphic card and insert to the PCIe slot but still "No signal"

My Desktop Spefication:
Aspire MC605
OS: Windows 8
CPU: Intel Pentium processor G2020
Ram: 2GB DDR3
HDD: 500GB
BIOS: P11-A2

My desktop and graphic just bought it on 16th May 2013. everthing is brand new.

Please Help and Thank You~

if i may ask what monitor/tv are you using?. cause i know for my second monitor if i go on a really high resolution it gives me "no signal".

was your old gpu working? if it is insert that one. install the new drivers, reduce the resolution as low as it can get nd try using the new one and see if that works fine.

cheers

I solved the problem already and it seems that Acer Aspire MC605 windows 8 cannot install Nvidia graphic card which i try almost 10 different models ( very old model to higher ranking model ) of Nvidia graphic card and the answers are all the same ( No signal ) but as i try 1 of ati graphic card, its working normally just by default BIOS. but i havent try lowering the resolution because my desktop Acer aspire give me fixed resolution ( 1000+x700+ ). i will try tomorrow by lowering the resolution using this ATI graphic card and try to install one of Nvidia graphic card. Hoping good news by tomorrow.

Hi,
I purchased an Acer Aspire MC605 too.

What ATI graphics card did you install? Would a Radeon HD6450 work?
I'm trying to install an Asus GT 610 2GB and it wont work. All video outputs blackout (even the built-in one).
The Intel graphics work only if it's being used by itself.

I've also tried installing an old ATI X700 but no luck.

The system is brand new and I'm only trying to install a new graphics card so that I can output to dual VGA monitors.

I've already updated the BIOS to v. P11.A4 and nothing seems to work. 🙁

UPDATE: I was able to get it to work by updating the video card BIOS using a different PC. This card can be updated to a BIOS that supports UEFI (making it incompatible with legacy BIOSes) and on the Asus support site there's a program that checks to make sure your system has a UEFI BIOS and supports a UEFI Video BIOS before updating it.

hye there sir.... i have exactly same problem as u... may i know what u mean and how to do this>> "I was able to get it to work by updating the video card BIOS using a different PC.
