Hello,

I am having issues with graphical artificating and im not sure if there is any way to fix it or not.

Here is a link to a video i made where it happened: http://www.twitch.tv/korasstv/c/6505430
(please excuse my eating) you can see the issue at the start and then later at the end of the video.

Here are my computers specs:

CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model

1 x PNY XLR8 PRO SSD9SC240GCDA-RB 2.5" 240GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

1 x AMD FX-9370 Vishera 8-Core 4.4GHz Socket AM3+ 220W FD9370FHHKWOF Desktop Processor - Black Edition

1 x GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P AM3+/AM3 AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

1 x SAPPHIRE DUAL-X 100364BF4L Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Rosewill RX850-S-B - Xtreme Series 850-Watt Active PFC Power Supply - Continuous @ 104 Deg. F (40C), 80 PLUS Bronze, ATX 12V v2.2 & EPS 12V v2.91

Out of all of these parts the one that i think is the culprit is the video card. I cannot imagine any other peice having this big of an impact.

Some times it will happen right when i load a game up. other times it will happen only after a long game session.

It does as shown in the video where massive tears just project through everywhere or sometimes a specific item or point in the game will explose out and only when im looking at or near the item will there be problems.

I do get some as well out side of games, there will be a small grey rectangle that is almost transparent, but is checkered .
ive just been dealing with it this whole time, restarting the game makes it go away for a while or minimizing/maxamizing. But it really like it not to happen.

I worry for your motherboard. I wouldn't personally put a FX 9370 on it plus the motherboard does not officially support it.
What temps do you get on your gpu in game?
You can install a monitoring application such as MSI afterburner. (You don't need a MSI graphic card to use it.)
http://gaming.msi.com/features/afterburner

Also you could run a memtest to test if your ram is faulty if you want to check your ram modules.

1) FX 9370 is NOT on the CPU support list for that motherboard. I recommend you Down-clock and under-volt it to FX 8370 or 8350 levels until you can replace the board.

2) An over-spec CPU will draw more power. This can cause voltage instability from the board and PSU which *MAY* be contributing to your GPU instability/artifacts.

Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 will support up to the FX 9590. Here's a link:

Thanks Suztera, i will use afterburner and see what numbers i get for the temps. Seems like Maddogfargo has the same belief it could be the miss compatibility of my mobo as well. I can buy the one suggested, its probably a smart thing to do as i thought i did my research and it was compatible, i bought it with the CPU thinking it was but i must have made a big mistake.

Ill grab this one if its really the issue to my problem:

Update: So im playing again have played for a little while now, and the i started to get the graphical artifacts again. My temp on my GPU is 55, the max it went up to is 58 and thats according to MSI afterburner

those temps seem really good, so i think its a safe bet to assume its the mobo?
