I'm new here and have only basic knowledge on computers. I'm always open to learning though! :D

I have a Acer Aspire T180 with the AMD Athlon 64 X 2 CPU, 4G of DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM, 250W PSU, and Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit OS.

I'm looking for a graphics card for watching 1080P movies on my HDTV only, using the HDMI output. I don't do any gaming at all.

I really don't want to upgrade the PSU. Will something like this be reliable, sufficient, and "plug-and-play"?

Also, will the audio transmit through the graphics card and HDMI output to the TV as well?

Budget is $50 or less (unless I have to upgrade the PSU) and I'm open to suggestions.

Thank you.

Solution
that's what HDMI is for.
there are 4 main video outpputs
Mini display port
VGA - but people consider it to be outdated
DVI - mostly preferred by gamers or people who dont like monitor audio
HDMI - only difference between HDMI is that it can carry audio along with video.
if your monitor has speakers it is almost bound to have HDMI
so if something has HDMI it MUST carry audio otherwise HDMI is useless.
and if a GPU has HDMI it can carry audio too.

dont worry PSU's are not as difficult as u think :)
just 2 things:
power and brands.
corsair, seasonic, are good and trusted brands just a few of them ofcourse
if u want a detailed info
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-oem-manufacturer,2913.html
a very recent tom's article about it.
or just go with one of the brands and get a ~400W PSU
a little less wont be a problem

it might be a bit more than u need but it will last longer and a PSU is really important so i dont recommend people to go cheap on that
this one is also decent enough too
