That is not worth mentioning lets just say they consume the same amount of power and lets leave it at that LOL.PS 6870 rapes on a GTX 560

the 6870 will use less power 90% of the time.

All this hair-splitting. Any difference in performance between the two is negligible and any difference in power consumption isn't worth worrying about. The price is more or less the same recently too. It all boils down to whether your most played games are known to be Nvidia or AMD friendly and whether Nvidia specific things like hardware PhysX support or Ambient Occlusion are important to you.

Keep drinking that fan-boy Kool-aid. Maybe you'll believe your own hyperbole someday. There isn't a dime's worth of difference between the two cards.

I was an big advocate of the Radeon 68xx series from day one when everyone was calling me crazy now for some reason everyone agrees that 68xx are great cards. PS I am not a fan boy I run an Nvidia card today LOL

Its back and forth depending on the game. Using a large "basket" of benchmarks like TechPowerup! uses the HD 6870 is a percent or two faster. Unnoticeable in everyday use. The GTX 560 does use about 30W more power under load. Again, with a $200 cap I would recommend the O.P. get one or the other and do some investigating as to which card is better for his most played games.
