Hey there!

I'm here to ask you guys for some advice regarding a new GPU...

Curently I'm running crossfire HD7950 but I'm not happy at all ... Most of the new games are not optimized at all for crossfire and usually I get funny graphics glitches and lower framerate than with one card .

I wanna prepare for GTA 5 on PC ... so I was thinking about the R9 290x

I want games to run at aprox 50 - 60 FPS on 1080p and I wonder if this card would fit my requirments

Thank you in advance guys !

Solution
Yep the 290x is a great choice with those specs. The 750w+ RM PSU's aren't the best, I'd look at upgrading that next. You should be able to pick up an XFX, Seasonic, Rosewill Capstone or antec HCG for pretty cheap.

It will handel it fine, it really won't be working hard at all. They just have cheap capacitors. It's not a replace immediately part, but next time you want to do some upgrades it's a part to keep in mind.
