Graphics card and smps

i want to play games at high settings at just a resolution of 1280x1024,right now im having an 8400gs,so watever card i would buy will give me a better perfomance,i have a total budget of rs 10,000 for both my graphics card and smps,i would like an 460gtx but i dont know whether it will fit my budget along with the smps.also is there any theory lyk an ati radeon card is more compatible with an amd processor than a nvidia?pls suggest a grpahics card and smps along with their cost
