Hi, I was wondering what benefit would there be if you only used your Dedicated Graphics? So if your not playing games on you computer and doing other things would have the dedicated graphics like an AMD 390 always on be a benefit at all? Also, would there be a problem with temps or overworking the Dedicated Graphics Card?

Any answer is much appreciated

Thanks

If you NEVER game, it's indeed better to remove the GPU for less power consumption, heat and complexity. Outside of gaming, modern iGPUs can do absolutely anything.
onboard gpu are getting faster but there not gaming gpu. if you try gaming on amd or the newer intel ipgpu your just make the cpu real hot and it can lock up or part can fail. the entry level gpu is there just for people that do web and word and light facebook games. with the prices of older gpu like the 750ti and the newer 950/960 dropping to under 100.00 there no real reason to use onboard gpu for gaming. with most of the newer mb when you use a gpu most onboard video cards turn off. you can use both...but not in games now.
