Hello

I just build myself a gaming PC, and I only just received the graphics card to put into it. I have already installed Windows 8.1 Pro.

When I went to install the graphics card, I uninstalled the Intel Graphics Driver, and turned the PC off, and installed the card. Once I powered it up, with the monitor connected to the new card via HDMI, the monitor says no signal.

And so I remove the card and restart the PC, and now my internet connection is really slow. I have a TP Link WN881ND card installed, which I checked in the device manager. But after installing the graphics card, and then removing it after it didnt work, the device manager now shows that the only Network Adapter detected is a Qualcomm Atheros AR9287. My connection is now around 30KBps, where it was around 500KBps before. Could anyone please help me with these issues, it is very frustrating. Thankyou

While running on the intel CPU, go into the bios and look for the initial display adapter and set it to PCIE. Save changes and exit. Turn off the PC and plug the monitor into the the new card then turn on the PC.

Post the results of that while I look into your wireless issue. Also whats the signal strength of the connection?

The signal strength of the WiFi connection is currently 1 or 2 bars, where it was 3 bars before when it was working well. The TP Link adapter is the only wireless adapter attached, and I'm pretty sure the motherboard doesn't have on board wireless, so I'm not sure why it's detecting a qualcomm adapter. Also, the TP Link wireless configuration utility still works.

The fans are spinning, but there's no signal to tthe monitor. This isthe second time tthis happened, as it also happened the day before yesterday. I had to reinstall windows, which fixed the wireless card issue. Once again, I installed windows with the graphics card removed. Once I put the card in, the same issue happened. I'll probably try it with Windows7, and see if the same issue arises. Do you suggest putting the graphics card in before or after the windows install?
Thanks 🙂

I always reccomend having every component plugged in and operating before installing the OS. That way you avoid driver conflicts.

However in this case it sounds like the graphics card is not operating normally. Do you have the external power connectors plugged into the graphics card?
