Graphics card broken or not?

When i plug my hdmi cable into my gtx 970 it doesnt display anything when i look at the graphics card itself its the fans are moving is there any way i can check if it works if you guys have questions please ask them.

Is this a new install of 970, or a working 970 that no longer works?

If this is a new install, is your power supply capable of even powering it? You need a QUALITY 500w psu to handle it

yeah i have a seasonic 620w power supply i checked all cables to make sure they were pluged in and they were

Have you tried reseating the card into the PCI-E slot?

Is your bios set to only use internal graphics?

its not its set to pci express not to internal the graphics card seems to be working am i plugging in the power wrong?

The plugs should be non-reversible. As long as you have both power cables plugged in, and it is tight in the port you should be good.
You need both cables plugged in, only 1 of the 2 wont be enough power.
