Hello

My PC: HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF.
I7-7700 3.6 GHz
Ram: 16GB
Chipset: Intel Q270
Chassis: 15.28 x 3.94 x 12.13 in

I just got this PC and I want to upgrade it a better GPU. I'm hoping for a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 (or a 1070) but i think the chassis is too small.
So, my questions are:
1. Is there a specific, gtx 1060, model that can work? if not, is there a AMD GPU that is equally good i can use?
2. I guess I'll need a bigger power supply?

Sorry if i'm missing out on any vital information, i'm kinda lost here.
i'll add some links that might help.

Thank the help! 😍

You're not going to find a new powersupply. It takes this funny little off-sized one and there are only two variants that I know of. A fairly mediocre bronze version and a much more efficient but still under powered platinum version. I am reasonably confident that the 1030 would work in that PC.
This video card might work:
https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1050-TI-4GT/dp/B01N2W8MJ9/
It is a 1050ti, low profile. It uses around 66watts. This is 20+watts above the most powerful optional graphics cards your PC can come bundled with. I would not try this myself. But you can experiment if you wish (if you have the optional platinum rated PSU which is around 10% more effecient)... but be prepared to return it for the next one.

If you want to play it safe, get this one:
https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-GeForce-GV-N1030D5-2GL-Computer-Graphics/dp/B071DY2VJR/
It draws only 30w. This is in line with the 49w optional card and so should work fine.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply!
So what you're saying is, my only options are low profile card, Nothing that can resemble the 1060?
Guess I'll look for a relatively good LP card.

Thanks bjornl and Blackbird!

bjornl, I really hope one of them cards will fit.
Blackbird, what if I'll get a new power supply? It should help, right?

A new power supply and a LP gpu is a lot cheaper than what I was ready to spend. I was ready to spend 350-400$ on this
