Question Graphics Card Compatibility

So i was thinking of upgrading from my gtx 1070 to something like a 2060 super or possibly a 3060/3060TI if possible (I know current stock on them isn't easily available atm) so i was wondering if my pcie 16x slot was compatible with it.

It says PCI-Express and 16x but im not sure which gen it is, and if ill have to upgrade my cpu and motherboard as well, at that point i'd be better off buying a whole new pc.

im not 100% sure, but i think it doesn't matter what gen it is. As long as its 16x I THINK it should be fine

What CPU?
The 2060 should work per the specs.
The 3060...I'm not 100% sure...but I think likely it would work.
The thing is...there's a chance your CPU isn't fast enough.

Alright, do you think my cpu (Core i7-2600k) would bottleneck something like a 2060 Super?
And do you think upgrading the system entirely would be better then just upgrading the graphics?

Cpu: Core i7 2600k
Gpu: Gtx 1070
Ram: 16gb 1666mhz DDR3
PSU:650W (I believe?)

I think the 2060 Super is a stretch for the 2600k.

yeah def upgrade your whole system if you can
