Graphics card dead/dying?

My wife is experiencing some issues with her computer. She was downloading the most recent rift hotfix when her screen resolution and size changed. After that we decided to try and update the graphics card but No go. It was saying that it couldn't detect the driver. Next we tried to do something and went into device manager but we couldn't find the Device adapter tab.....we are currently trying to use the system restore because we read something else about that possibly fixing it but If we could get any solid answer as to how to fix or if we need to replace that would be awesome! Thank you!

Is this a laptop or desktop?can u give me the specs

Hmm, she seems to have fixed the issue but she is sleeping. I will ask her and update when she comes around! Thank you though!
