I had my pc working fine with what it had. Then i thought maybe it would work better with my graphics card drivers up to date. Now it doesnt work. My desktop and all that is normal, but when trying to launch a game it says no display adapter detected. Also dxdiag has n/a on everything in display adapter. Device manager says "Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18)" and when clicked reinstall it says windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date. What i installed is version 15.17.19.64.2869 for Intel G41 Express Chipset. Im stuck with this. Everything was fine before this but i cant use the Windows Restore tool for reasons and i need help.

CPU: Intel core 2 duo e7500
Motherboard: Intel G41 Express
Ram: 4gb
SSD/HDD: hdd 250gb
GPU: Intel G41 Express
PSU:
Chassis: desktop
OS: Windows 7 enterprise 64bit

basically optiplex 380.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list them as:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS: Windows 7(starter???)

Have you tried using DDU to rid your system of the Intel GPU drivers and reinstalled the previous stable version of Intel HD Graphics drivers after the reboot? We're talking the Intel HD Graphics drivers, correct or are we talking about the chipset drivers?

Did not yet try the ddu. Have done before, probably wont be a problem to do. I will try that, thanks 🙂
edit: oh i didnt even think of that. i dont know what im doing it seems. i am not sure if its the graphics driver or the chipset driver. i'll be back when i figure this out lol.
edit: i'll try to make this post here clear when i have figured it out.
in device manager the Intel G41 Express Chipset is in the display adapters. so it is safe to assume that its the integrated graphics driver? should i do the ddu now?
