Graphics card failing?

MOBO: Asrock B250M
GPU: Gigabyte RX480
PSU: EVGA 500B
CPU: i5 7400

During the summer, I accidentally broke a fan off my GPU's cooler, so I couldn't RMA it. I ended up buying an Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo III, which worked good and all, but recently, I've been crashing in games. And when I say crashing, I mean sometimes I might get some artifacts, sometimes straight up to a solid color lockup and sometimes signal is lost, while music stops.
No BSODs, no nothing.
I think I've only received a single BSOD?
Anyway. After a crash, I end up having to flick the psu switch, and it takes some tries to start it up again. Sometimes, MSI Afterburner stops the crashing. But sometimes, it doesn't.
If I recall correctly, this started around the time where I installed the Aorus software Gigabyte offered that controlled RGB on the GPU, I am not sure if that caused any problems with my GPU, though.
One thing to note is that the Backplate of the GPU cooler is slightly off when it comes to memory cooling, and it doesn't sit properly on the back of a row of memories.

I am really not sure what's going on. Is it indeed my GPU? Or is it that my motherboard or PSU started failing on their own?

Did you check temps in the system? Is anything overclocked?

Try underclocking the card by 5% see if that helps with the crashing.

Already tried. As time passes, problem gets worse. I could play EUIV without crashes, but not anymore.

If I can add anything new, is that my last crash not only lead to a BSOD, but my PC turned off mid-bsod.

Did you try a clean Windows setup to rule out any software issues? May be a lot of things here from RAM to power supply to video card.

Didn't try a clean windows installation. What I am going to do is give the card to a friend to try out and see what happens.
