When I load up a game or anything slightly intensive (sometimes just having multiple videos running at the same time causes applications to freeze and I will have to reload them).
I have got msi afterburner and the max recommended temperature for my card (asus r9 290 directcu ii) is 95 degrees. But it only seems to reach 55 degrees before applications freeze.
I have never had any problems before and the only change was the fan fin breaking off, however since it reports the gpu temperature to be so low I am inclined to believe it was something different causing the issue.
Is this normal for one fin breaking off, and is there a quick fix I can do while I wait for my new replacement fan to arrive.
