I recently noticed that on when I boot up my computer, my gpu fans don't spin. Sometimes they will just barely spin and then stop. They only spin after windows boots and I open up Afterburner.

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Pretty sure the fans won't spin until they reach 60 degrees mate. It's a feature that comes with the GPU.

Check your temps and see if they are below 60C when they're not spinning.

Use a program like HWMonitor to control your temps.

If it reaches 80 degrees for example and your fans are still not spinning then it is a problem.

All correct. If you don't like it operating that way, you can set up custom fan settings in MSI Afterburner or a similar program (yes, Afterburner will work with non-MSI graphics cards).
Edit: although doing this will still not turn on fans until Afterburner is running, but you can set Afterburner to open with Windows, but be minimized.
