So I bought a 1440p 144hz gaming monitor, and I currently have a Radeon Rx 580 gaming x 8gb. I play a lot of Overwatch, I’m in an Esports team. I’m looking for a card that can give me 1440p 144hz. I would love for it to work with overwatch even on epic settings, but I don’t want to pay a lot and for it to be overkill. I also play other games, but I want a card focused on overwatch. I have a core i5 9600k cpu, but I also stream, so that is something to consider. My monitor has FreeSync, but I can download drivers for it that will also make it G-sync compatible so I could go either AMD or Nvidia. Are the new cards something to consider? The rtx 1060-1080 supers, and the new AMD cards releasing next week? I’m just looking for suggestions, at a decent price point.

For 1440p and 144Hz, RTX 2070 is good GPU to go for (slightly better than GTX 1080). But if you want cheaper then RTX 2060 (slightly weaker than GTX 1070 Ti).

On AMD side, Vega 56 and Vega 64 fall in between of RTX 2060 and RTX 2070.

I know it’s been a while, but now that their out I found some benchmarks and find out that the rtx 2060 super is slightly better than the rtx 2070, is this correct, It’s cheaper so I think I should go rtx 2060 super.

Since time has moved onward, there's a new GPU on AMD side, a Radeon RX 5700 XT. RX 5700 XT is better than RTX 2070 and RTX 2060 Super, while being equal price to RTX 2060 Super,

I have considered this, but I want to get into vr, and AMD won’t do me well for that. So, Geforce, also raytracing. If the amd benchmarks come out and they are somehow similar or better I will definitely go for it. But for now, is the rtx 2060 super a good buy for my situation, I’m not planning on the purchase for a few months, maybe at the end of this year, so I have time.
