graphics card for an ordinary pc

I want to start playing some games on my pc but don't want to build a gaming pc, i have a
Intel Pentium e6500 dual core @2.93 Ghz

could a NVidia GTX 750 ti improve my fps, I've seen a video where it improved the fps of a $300 pc by almost 10x and want to know if it could work on my pc

A Nvidia 750ti could be a major improvement but you need to make sure you have at least a 300W powersupply and a 6-pin or molex connection to give the 750ti additional power. There are a few units that don't require a 6-pin connection since there not factory overclocked. If you let me know the Make/Model # and I will be more than happy to help you pick a good card.

That all depends on the current GPU in your PC. Are you using integrated graphics or a separate graphics card ?
