Graphics card for Dell Optiplex 755 DT(DeskTop)!

Hello Everyone!
I own a Dell optiplex 755 dt and i want to upgrade the Graphics Card. Due to its size i dont understand what Graphics card should i use. I know there many forums for this topic i've been through all of them and did not got any solution. While going through forums i found one card Saphire 7750 1gb DDR5 (http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/318712/sapphire-7750-1gb-gddr5-low-profile.html). Can i use this card in my pc(http://ic.tweakimg.net/ext/i/1277906581.jpeg) [mine is the second from left]. If not then what card should i use?

That card will fit your case, yes. But be sure your power supply is big enough. I believe that PC came with a 275W PSU. If so, that 55W card will be OK. The motherboard has a PCIe x16 slot rated at only 35W, but from experience with other posters here, that is not an issue. It appears the 35W rating for the PCIe x16 slots in low profile PCs is mainly for the low powered PSUs that most come with. So check your PSU. If it is the 275W model, the card will be fine.

I was thinking about the Geforce GTX 750 (http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-01G-P4-2751-KR/dp/B00IDG3NDY) and is in my budget! .. should i buy this? will this fit in my PC [Dell optiplex 755 Desktop]

The 60W GTX 750 is a step above the HD 7750 in performance. But if that is an older motherboard and BIOS, there has been some folks having trouble with the new Maxwell GPU being recognized in older systems. From the posts on this forum, it seems to be about a 50-50 chance with that card.

What CPU do you have and what is the resolution of your monitor?

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66Ghz and screen resolution (recommended by windows 7) is 1024x768

Recommended by Windows? Don't you know the resolution of your monitor? It might only be recommending the lowest rez due to not having a gfx card and driver installed.

My monitor is very old its Samsung SyncMaster 172e and by some searching just found the resolution it is 1280 by 1024

OK. That's pretty low rez. The HD 7750 will be a killer card at that rez. If you can shop at one of the Amazon Europe sites, you'll find low profile HD 7750s and r7-250s a lot cheaper.

i found this one (http://www.amazon.com/XFX-250E-800MHz-Graphics-R7250EZNP4/dp/B00JM5XX9O/ref=dp_ob_title_ce) the R7-250E and I can afford this card. Now the thing is will it fit in my pc case? and i hope i don't need to upgrade my psu for it

That won't fit if you have the slim line desktop you alluded to in the opening post. That card is full height.

the manual which i got about specs of my pc has written some dimensions for full hight cards (LxH): 6.6x4.72in/167.64x120mm
and for low profile (LxH): 6.6x3.35in/167.64x85mm
and this card (http://www.amazon.com/MSI-R7-240-Profile-PCI-Express/dp/B00FRHIIPK/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1409451251&sr=1-2&keywords=r7-250e+low+profile) seems to fit perfect in my case. Will this work?

The card will work, but the bracket won't. See the silver bracket on the end of the R7-240? That is a full height bracket. If your case is the 2nd from the left in your pic link at the top of this post, you need a card with low profile brackets included or already installed. Below is an example of what I am talking about:

Hi clutchc! sorry for being annoying asking questions again and again... i have found the same msi r7 240 with l-p brackets included here( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127765 ). Btw i have found l-p brackets also on amazon here (http://www.amazon.com/Profile-Height-Bracket-Nvidia-Graphics/dp/B0056RCS8Y) lol .... will it work now?

No problem with the questions. That's why I am here. As to the R7-240 at Newegg, yes that will work. In fact, if that is the same unit sold at Amazon, that would have worked too. They just didn't show that it came with the L-P brackets.
I would avoid buying a card that didn't come with the L-P brackets only to turn around and order generic ones extra. The add-on brackets may not fit properly w/o some drilling and filing.

Keep in mind that the R7-240 will be a bit slower than the HD 7750 you were originally interested in. R7-240 < R7-250 < R7-250E = HD 7750. What is your monitor's resolution?

That's a low enough resolution that the R7-240 will allow most games to be played with mid settings. Extreme games like Crysis 3 will be lucky if it runs in low settings.

luckily i have no interest in those games i just want to play tdu2, nfs, ac3 and some cods
