Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice for replacing my integrated G33/31 Express chipset graphics card in my HP Pavilion. I tried a GT430, but continued to have problems. I downloaded the drivers from nvidia, they installed fine, upgraded my motherboard BIOS. It worked fine at first, looked great, but then anomolies started appearing, pixelations, spikes, and then would quit working altogether.

Was there something I'm missing? Do I need to replace the motherboard as well or something, since it is an integrated set-up?

Any advice? Also, advice on the type of video card would be great as well. The GT430 is a little low end and I was considering something in the next cost tier up. My system has 300w power supply.

Solution
try to disable on board graphic/video in the BIOS if it's available. if not use driver sweeper and reinstall the driver. you might want to try different driver as well.
