Graphics card for i2500k and asus p8z68 v pro

hi im building my computer so far i have decided to go for i2500k and asus p8z68 v pro Mb , i m looking for graphics card which will suit my configuration. im using sony HDtv for my display with HDMI. im not very hard core gamer budget is about 150-175$ cdn.

As Vind said however.

Be careful with the 6950's as you will struggle to find an early model which could be unlocked. Most of the new revision models of all 6950's will no longer unlock once flashed.

However i would go with a 6950, currently bought the HIS iceq turbo 6970 which is great.

Well,PowerColor may not be as good as ASUS/XFX but it's still a decent brand IMO.
But I agree,for $5 more,the Sapphire one is worth it

Like I said,6870 is the best card in your price range,but if that's expensive and you aren't planing to play games(much),then consider cheaper options like GTX 550(which is also quieter )

6870 is abt 200 $with taxes in canada.i will check prices for gtx 570 or 560ti .
my friend have 6870 and he is very satisfied but he is hardcore gamer too.

Well 6870 could be best option if Zotac wasnt offer a GTX 560 O/C, only 169$. At 860Mhz is like MSI Twin Frozr O/C http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127593 (which is 10Mhz more). You can see here in a massive article from Tom's http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-radeon-graphics,2977-10.html that a factory O/C GTX560 at 870Mhz can beat any 6870 @ stock speeds and almost all 6870 factory O/C speeds (apart from HIS IceQX version (enthusiast settings)).
