Graphics card for Intel G33/31

Well, I have an Intel G33/31 motherboard with Intel Pentium dual core E2200 @ 2.2GHz and two 1GB ddr2 Rams installed. My smps is of 450 watts. Can someone please recommend me a good graphics card which i can install for playing PC games?

i like the ZOTAC NVIDIA GTX 750 ti 2GB 2 GB DDR5 Graphics Card. Can someone please tell me whether it can support my motherboard?

What is the brand of the PSU?

Also, you will need more cpu speed, more ram, and i suspect about PSU, they have a nasty reputation of taking other components with them when they fail. I would not put a 750 in that system.

PSU brand? Its a local one named 'Zebronics' :-/

Forget it, you need a need PSU with quality. The 450W are fine, but is generic and therefore may fail or even burn your new GPU and/or other elements from your system. I would recommend a whole system upgrade to do that risky movement.

While that power supply is questionable (at best), if the majority of power supplies from any given manufacturer crashed and burned, they'd be run out of business fairly soon. Since that card does not require an extra power connection from the power supply, I think you'll "probably" be ok.

Edit: Of course, if you're looking to replace the power supply as well, that would be ideal.

How about Zotac Nvidia 730 GT 2GB DDR5 card? Will it work without any changes in my CPU components?

hello cybo_10.you want a gt 730 2gb gpu.thats a 2gb gpu right.but your mother board has a pcie 1.1 slot. which supports maximum bandwith about 10 gbp/s.so gt 730 would have less chances for support in it.it might be not supported.now a zotac gt 610 2gb gpu will run smoothly and surely in it.your mother board and psu will support it.gt 610 is also a 2gb gpu and costless than gt 730 and 750 ti.because gt 610 is fully backward compatible with pcie 1.0 and pcie1.1.i am also using zebronics 450 watt psu.and im using gainward nvidia ge force 210 1 gb ddr3 in my zeb945 board which has pcie 1.0 slot.so mine runs fine yours also run fine.dont worry.just buy zotac gt 610.good luck.

The GT730 would be fine for your system, just as (I suspect) the GTX750Ti would be.

With an E2200, anything more powerful than a GT 730 would just be a waste of money.

GT 730 is better than 610 so I'm more interested in 730. If you guys are sure that it wont be a problem then i think i'll go for it.

You should be fine with a GT 730. One of my old computers is a G31 chipset and E5200, I had no problems in putting a modern graphics card into it.
