I've recently been looking around for a new graphics card to upgrade my system with. However, on MSI's support site for the Z170a Krait Gaming motherboard I noticed that in the list of graphics cards located under the "VGA" tab in the "compatibility" section there are specified amounts of memory that the graphics cards can have. For example, only two iterations of the GTX 960 are listed each having 2GB of memory. Does this mean that a GTX 960 graphics card with 4GB of memory would be incompatible with this motherboard?

Here is the address where I found this list...

I'm just wondering if I will be restricted to the amounts of memory that correspond to each model.

Depending on what country you are in the R9 380, 4GB DDR5 is a much better option than the GTX 960. For example in the UK both cards are around the same price but the R9 380 gives a much better performance.
