I need a card that can hopefully max out all modern day games at 720p 1280x720? Not sure.

Main usage: Playing games, general computer use.
MONITOR RESOLUTION: Currently my PC uses recommended 1360 X 768.
Budget: $250
Preferred website: Newegg.ca

Notes: My 360 uses 720p setting so I assume that what my TV is.

Solution

Pretty well, you can probably get high settings with that resolution

OC version means that the card comes with a factory overclock over its stock speeds. Generally these can be easily achieved manually using msi afterburner, so its not really viable to spend a whole lot more on it

It wont harm the life span of the card will it?

No, It comes factory overclocked, so sapphire would probably test it out first. It will only harm it if the temperatures get too high, but don't worry, that wont be the case

Definitely go with the second option. The first option is a reference design which means it runs hotter and louder than a non reference. Plus, you get a nice overclock with it. The $10 extra is definitely worth it

That ACX cooler is pretty good as well

get the ASUS version since it only uses a single 8pin power connector, so it's easier to deal with than a 6+8 or 8+8 connection.

also, find out if the direction of the power connector makes cable management easier in your case - power connector going UP or going BACK.

Alright I ordered the EVGA 02G-P4-3765-KR GeForce GTX 760 2GB Superclocked.

When I get it:
I install it to my PC
connect the the 1 x 6-Pin and 1 x 6+2-Pin
turn on my PC and install the GTX 760 drivers from this site http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en'

Correct?

Some other questions:
Should Intel HD 4000 graphics be turned off or left on? Or does it not matter?
Should I start using the video card's HDMI port for my monitor or continue to use the motherboard's HDMI port?

Everything correct

Don't worry about intel hd graphics. It will be automatically disabled when you connect your monitor to the graphics card

You should use the video cards hdmi port

What if I don't you use the card's HDMI port? Will the card kick in when it needs to or is there no reason not to use the card's?

if you want to use the card that you actually paid for, then connect your monitor to the card. if you just want to waste $250 on a card and not use it, connect to the motherboard'd video connector.

easy as pie! :)
