So this morning i built my new pc that im going to use to run game servers. but i made a stupid mistake and got a CPU with no intergrated graphics so instead of replacing it i was going to buy a "Gainward GeForce 210 Graphics Card Nvidia 512MB DDR3 PCI Express" and was wondering if this will affect the performance of the game servers? if so by how much? The specs of thhe previously mentioned server is PSU:Corsair CX430M
CPU:X4 860K
motherboard:asus a88xm-a
HDD: WD 1TB RED
RAM:Vengeance 8gb (x1)

I guess I assumed you would boot all the way to a graphics interface. If you don't start Gnome or some other GUI, then this would be a non-issue. If you are running a desktop GUI then there probably is a screensaver and screen lock configuration that you can tweak.

nope wasnt going to i was just going to use the standard command line style that it is in as standard.

If you are going to stay at a command line on the local display, then there is no issue. I would recommend booting all the way to a GUI for configuration then change the init level to boot to a command line. Setup up SSH so that you can remote in and then you can remove the monitor and keyboard completely.

was going to just get to the command line set up ssh then do the rest from my main pc with PUTTY
