Hi, I have a ASUSTeK Computer INC. M4A79XTD EVO (AM3) mobo and currently have two ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (ATI) graphics cards.

I've had some probs with my pc (4 years old) and recently installed an SSD. I'm still having problems and was wondering about installing a new graphics card.

I'm guessing that with my crossfire 5700's being 4 years old I can maybe get a much better single card quite cheap now.

Problem is I have no idea what is a good upgrade or what compatability matters I need to consider.

Any tips or pointers would be appreciated.

AMD Phenom II X4 965

I'm not sure about the PSU, I thinks its about 650 though, I would have open it up to be sure.

thanks.

The psu has X-Power and ATX-700TW written on it.

I can spend £100 I suppose, if it's worth it.

Cheers.

I ordered the system I don't even know what 'local' means here.

I'll spend whatever is sensible for a decent upgrade. Money isn't an issue but value for it is. As in I don't want the latest and greatest justsomething that gives a noticeable boost and will last me for a few years.

I want a nice graphics card but I'm not worried about high end gaming. £30 -£100 maybe?

I just want a functional psu, whatever they cost. £30 -£50 maybe?

Just to try it, I've taken out the graphics card the system was using and I'm now using the other which in general was rarely cross fire enabled in the software.

Will that R7 give me a decent graphical boost? Are we talking 10% better or 50% better?????
