Its a 6-pin connector, but the wire should come with the power supply?

are you serious? :O man the required PSU is 750W according to AMD... please change your PSU

The R9 280X is a power hungry card...

better get a good PSU:- something like corsair rm550 - 600 or from the RMX serious.
