I built my first ever pc around February of 2015, last night i was clever enough to spill water over my graphics card, I left it out to dry overnight and then reinstalled it the next day, since then I have noticed that the performance and graphics have decreased dramatically, is this something that is a result of me spilling water or have I installed it wrong? Please help!

Quick side note, my computer now outputs video from the mother board and not directly from the graphics card how do i change this back, thankyou.

Oh god i have no idea how to use a forum,

Ok to start with my monitor only has a VGA slot, i use an adapter for it to go into my graphics card which is a DVI, when i use the DVI slot it does not display, (im not sure if this is because of the adapter but it work before the spilling incident)

And my case has ventilation on the top of it, when i spilled the drink it went through a hole in my desk and onto my graphics card.

Well that confirms that, what about my Graphics card though? water damage or have i set it up wrong? it seems to be operating fine except for the huge performance difference from now compared to before
