I was playing some call of duty black ops 2 last night when suddenly my display starts to glitch out before freezing completely. I force quit my computer, start it again, the mobo splash screen comes up and then no signal. So i force quit it again and reset my registry through command prompt on one of the windows repair options.

I can now get back onto my computer, but it is clear something is wrong with my gpu - device manager shows that i have error 43 on the gpu and games are running at single digit fps, on the menus.
So i decided to install the latest drivers, but upon restarting i had the same issue as before - splash screen then no signal.

So, i tested my hdmi cable with another device and it worked. I then decided to reseat my ram and remove, dust, and put my gpu into another slot on my mobo. Nothing worked. So i reset my bios and i can login again but my gpu still shows malfunction on device manager and when used.

Should i just buy a new gpu?
