Hello,
I used to have an Nvidia gtx 660. It worked great for the time I had it, but decided to upgrade, recently, to an MSI GTX 970, which is also great. Here is the problem though. With both of these, starting a few months back (before new gpu) my computer wont always start up right. For example, I will power it on and everything goes on, but then my monitor will say no signal. This doesn't happen every time however, and can be fixed with a few restarts, sometimes one, or about 3, like today. MY motherboard gives me the Q-code that it has booted normally, even when this happens. This isn't really a crippling problem, but is very annoying. Once on, it performs perfectly. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Specs:
GPU: GeForce GTX 970
CPU: Intel Core 15-3570k cpu @ 3.4 GHz
Mem: 16.00 gb Ram
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus V Extreme

I hope that is all you need, thanks!

Hi, I should have mentioned this earlier, but now only the 970 is connected. I replaced the 660 with it, but the problem occurred when each was installed on its own. Also, both monitors are connected to the 970. I should mention this has only happened since I have had two monitors, but it didnt start for a few months after I hooked up the second.

Hi, I tried unhooking one of the monitors, but the problem persisted. I tried a few times with only one. The first time, the computer started up normally, which also sometimes happens with two monitors. The second and third times, it took several forced restarts to get the computer running properly

Yes, I have tried with each monitor, neither fixed the issue.
