I have an AMD A10-7800 Radeon R7, 12 Computer Cores 4C+8G 3.50GHz processor, and 12gb DDR3 RAM.

My question is, what kind of graphics card do I need in order to run PS4 games with these specs? Thank you. Any kind of system improvements or any other comments are also appreciated.

Yes your hardware is adequate for low end gaming at a lower resolution than your monitor is capable of running. Should you wish to improve your gaming experience the only way is to install a discreet GPU. If you do this with an AMD (rather than Nvidia) GPU you can combine the power of the new card with your IGP in what is known as hybrid crossfire, but this option is a whole new ballgame that I'd not personally recommend.

Stick with what you have for the moment and try some older game titles out, but remember, your A10-7800 is not considered a very powerful processor so limit your expectations and you won't be disappointed.

I'm sorry, but I do not know. AMD A10-7800 is the only thing I know about it.

Your processor (AMD A10-7800) has on onboard/integrated graphics processor (IGP) therefore you do not necessarily need a discreet GPU, however there are many caveats in running any game on an IGP...mostly to do with screen resolution and in game settings (low/med/high) which will make everything look pretty or not.

For some light reading on your CPU (known as an APU) see here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/amd-a10-7800-kaveri-apu-efficiency,review-33021.html

In order to get a better idea of your system, can you answer the following:

Where is your monitor cable plugged in - directly into the motherboard port or into a port on a card in one of the expansion slots?
Do you have a piece of software from AMD on your PC call Catalyst Control Centre or Crimson?
What size and resolution is your PC monitor - e.g 24" 1080p
Where are you seeing the Radeon R7 information?

On board VGA, I can't find any software that say Catalyst COntrol Centre or Crimson, and when I open This PC and go to Properties, it lists AMD A10-7800 Radeon R7, 12 Computer Cores 4C+8G 3.50GHz as my processor. Monitor is 23" 1920*1080. I hope that helps a little...

OK....reading up on the processor, the IGP (onboard graphics) is classed as R7 so that's one mystery solved. The IGP itself is barely capable of running games at 1080p so you will only be able to set your graphics options to low/med at best and avoid turning on anti-aliasing. The article I linked earlier notes that gaming at 720p is a better option (1280 x 720) so you would need to alter your screen resolution to this if running at your native resolution in game results in choppy gameplay.

OK, so basically what you are saying is, my hardware is adequate, I need to adjust my monitor resolution to less than 1080p? Correct? And thank you very much for walking me through this. I'm just learning this stuf
