when i plugged my vga into the graphics card and turned it on, the monitor light just stays orange and wont boot. (gpu fan is working)

But barely sometimes when i am using my onboard graphics(graphics card still in the pcie) , the monitor eventually blacked out.(and wont boot). This time i unplugged the vga from the motherboard and inserted it on the graphics card and it booted. Does this mean that if the onboard graphics wont boot or not working, the graphics card will boot???

How can i fix this problem??? Need Help.

Dear sir,

First rule of forum is to be polite (say hi)

About your problem.
Usually if you have a dedicated graphic card, the onboard card is disable.
Does the pcie card show up in device manager when you boot with onboard card.

If not, you have a problem with Graphic card, motherbord or and PSU.

Have you tested you screen on a working computer ?

Also, when you seek help, it is always good to post us you computer specs so that we can guide you better.
Good luck

thanks for replying ..

pcie card did not show up using the onboard but it does eventually

my specs:
cpu: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 dual core processor 5000+ 2.59 ghz
onboard graphics: geforce 7050 PV/ nforce 630a
gpu: geforce 9500 GT

An OP question: does pcie version affects the graphics card?

thanks in advance
