Question Graphics Card not detected by Motherboard

Hi guys,

I have an Hd6670 that suddenly stopped working.
I took it out of one pc to place in another and now its not working.
It has worked on this pc in the past.
The mother board is : Asus P5B Deluxe
When i install a GTX1070 everything works fine.
The pc does not have iGPU.
When the hd 6670 is install the pc boots and beeps three times as if its not detecting it.
I have also uses an old ati 550 that works, but for some reason cant display the bios post/bios on start up.
I have tried flashing bios and clearing cmos.
Any advise is much appreciated!

When you try to install the Hd6670 on another computer, it may not work BECAUSE that computer have installed drivers belonging to another GPU - and then such a test doesn't reveal any usable information of the card itself.
Also, you say no more than "it's not working" - it's like hundreds of possible ways a GPU doesn't work so you must elaborate.

What is the spec of the system? Have you upgraded bios recently ?

Did you test the card in the original computer it came from? Need to verify the card is not working in any system before it's declared dead. Which for a older card is not really unusual.

So i did try the other computer, and it seemed to not be detected either. So three computers are suddenly not detecting it, but the fan is spinning. Its weird cause its worked on all three in the past. Im still sceptical that its dead. Even if the comouter doesnt have all the right drivers it should still detect the card and even boot to the bios. When i have the hd6670 plugged into my main pc, which uses a gtx 1070, it doesnt show up in device manager.
Any more advise would be much appreciated. Thanks !

I'm confused why you think the card is good when 3 computers don't see it. Bad card = not working right. Not working right = computers don't have to see the card during boot.

And it is not really odd that the card worked in all 3 systems before but not now, everything on the planet that is broken at some point used to work, then once it's broken, it no longer works. That is the definition of "broken", no longer working. Unless something never worked since it was new, when it breaks, it stops working. You can't just say "well it worked before so should be working now".

I understand what broken means.. its just odd that within a span of simply transfering the card to another computer its suddenly not working. The fans are running. Thanks for helpful tip.
