Graphics card not detected every other startup

Hi,
I've installed a clean copy of windows 7 pro on an ssd for my old pc. It now runs quite well but every other boot I get three beeps (one long and two short) and I won't get into windows. If I turn the system off and on again I'm thrown into Bios but it starts up normally after that. I can't perform a normal restart (e.g. to fully install drivers) cause I get the error when restarting, shutting down normally doesn't help.

Specs are:
Ms-7848 mobo
I5-4440
Gtx 650
8gb ram
An 120gb ssd (bootdrive)
500gb hdd (storage)
Random old powersupply

i would just... Open up the PC and clean it up and check that PCI-E slots are also very very clean and that the GPU is properly connected from both connectors, PCI-E and PS.

it truly sounds like a motherboard problem, and likely to become worst before it becomes better...
(how do I know... been there done that, replaced the board, it solved the issue.)

but keep trying to troubleshoot, video card and psu, easiest pull video card and use it without it see if symptoms return or not.
