Greetings!
I have an old PNY GTX 4770. I bought it used and used it about a year. It ran great for 9 months or so, then some trouble. I always used MSI Afterburner to monitor temps and speed up the fan as these cards run hot.

About 3 months ago MSI began to show odd temps, all the way up then all the way down then black screen. I was aunable to resolve the situation so I gave up and switched to an even older card.

Fast forward to now, I did some more research and found some suggestions regarding drivers and irq settings. I was excited to try these suggestions out. I reinstalled the card and now it is not working at all.

Specifically, when I try to boot up with it installed the video comes out of the motherboards on board graphics, like it's not recognized at all. I went in to the bios and it is set to pci priority. I tried changing to all the other options in that menu and the same thing. when the card is plugged in the fan on the GPU does spin.

Any ideas? I don't have another pc to test it in. Does it sound like the GPU is shot? Is there anything I could try?

A few system specs:
Win7
Motherboard GA-MA-790GPT-UD3H
8G RAM
AMD Phenom II X3 720BE

Thanks for any replies, as I have no idea what to think.
