Graphics Card not showing any display and not showing in device manager.

So I recently just bought a EVGA GTX 1080 SC. I’ve just built my own pc as well. So all the parts are new. All my parts are working fine, except my graphics card. I’ve tried installing the NVidia drivers and it shows up saying no graphics card is installed. Also the fans only spin for about 2-3 seconds at a time but I feel like that’s normal as it’s not being used. I checked my device manager and there was no sign of it in there under any category even after showing hidden devices. I updated my bios as well and that didn’t help.
Any advice and I would be grateful!

Did you plug in the PCIe power connectors accordingly?

Did you plug in the PCIe power connectors accordingly?

Yes I plugged the 8 pin side of the PCIe wire into the graphics card and the 6 pin side into my power supply.
