Graphics card not working [Black Screen]

Hello!

Since last week, I've been having this problem where at startup, my computer just freezes and shows a black screen after the Windows 7 loading screen.

I know that the problem has something to do with my GPU because the only ways I can access my computer are on safe mode or disabling my GPU and using the integrated graphics. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, but it doesn't work, after rebooting the computer, the black screen is still there.

Is there a way to fix this? Or does it mean that my graphics card is dead?

The graphics card I'm using is a Sapphire Radeon HD 7850

It sounds more like the drivers are the problem. As you are able to see the Windows 7 loading screen, it is unlikely the card is dead. Are you able to do a system restore?

Already tried to reinstall the drivers and it didn't work...

And nope, I can't restore the system back to any point where the GPU still worked.

I'm not sure the cable is part of the problem since image and audio still display properly with the GPU disabled

The HDMI or DVI cable when the gpu is enabled.

And nope, I can't restore the system back to any point where the GPU still worked.

My point was that reinstalling software does not always fix a broken previous installation. Sometime pieces of software can remain that prevent proper re-installation.
