I built a new pc for my girlfriend at the weekend and all worked fine until we got the graphics card. She was using a HD 6770 at first because her graphics card had not arrived from ebay and it all worked well. We then got the graphics card from ebay a GTX560ti 1gb. I uninstalled all the Ati drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller, turned off the pc and installed the new card. It worked, and I was able to install the new drivers from nvidia. This is where the problems start.
The windows aero would not work and is just a solid colour at the bottom, then we get a message when we boot windows saying " windows desktop manager has stopped working". I tried to troubleshoot windows aero and it says "graphics card unsupported" and finally every time we try to boot GTA5 that worked with the HD 6770 it pops up for about 1 second and then says GTA V has stopped working. I am not totally stuck and don't know what to do. The only drivers that work with the card are the ones we got with the disk but they are old 257.xx drivers from 2011 and games crash within about 10 mins when using them. I have also tried updating the bios but that did not fix the problem.
I tested the 560ti on my pc with the new nvidia drivers and it worked perfect.
