About 12 years I got a PC with a EVGA nForce 750i SLI Motherboard. I'm looking to do a few upgrades as there's still life in it yet :) Spec is here https://www.evga.com/support/manuals/files/122-YW-E173.pdf

The current graphics card is the 512MB nVIDIA GeForce 9600GT, and the processor is a Q6600.

I'm not very knowledgeable about upgrading computers so I'm wondering if anyone could advise what other graphics cards I could consider upgrading to? Ideally I'd want something I can keep for a future system (when I eventually replace it).

Thanks in advance.

Solution
You are looking at a 12-13 year old PC with the parts you have.

The 1030 is the lowest entry-level card around now, but it'll run rings around your 9600. Anything more powerful will get no better fps than the 1030 will.
