i just bought a r7 260x and i have a 400w power supply when i put in my gpu the fans start spinning but i get no signal do you think it is the gpu or psu btw i know i have to upgrade my psu but im asking could it be the reason im getting no signal
How many amps does the 400W have?
I'm wary of running a 140W card on my CX430, which has 32A of current on the +12V rail.
If your PSU has less(which it supposedly does), then the 260X won't have enough power(115W).
Yes, if you have a budget and need to decide which one to get, you can post here. A 300W just doesn't cut it. The card itself gobbles up half that power, assuming the PSU even delivers 300W.
If you need suggestions, just ask.

Seems a bit overkill. I mean an additional $55 will get him a new card.
How about a Corsair CX430? I know the CX series is not for gaming PC's but I don't think the PSU is going to be taxed much. Power Supply:Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($44.99 @ Newegg) Total: $44.99
