Graphics card overheats too easily and grey lines come up

I have an xfx 7950 and it overheats really easily while playing games but idle temps remain normal which is around 30 degrees. I've applied new thermal paste many times and i get the same result.

Case?
Fans?
PSU?

What max temps is it reaching?

A lot of people have had issues with XFX gpus overheating, they seems to be plagued with cooling problems and then stuff like this happens... BOOM!

Forum guidelines - post your build. It might be lack of case fans, crappy power supply etc.

Also - download and install HWInfo. Post psu voltages - 12v, 5v, 3.3v - min and max plus gpu voltage and fan rpms

Also - post your graphics card settings - Afterburner or whatever you're using.

how do you know if your GPU over heats?

most common signs are crashing, system shutdowns, poor performance

always best to monitor temps with something like gpuz or hwinfo now and then, just to see how things are running
