I am interested in advice for a graphics card to run a 4k - 2k dual monitor setup. My 2k monitor is a Dell P2214H and the new 4k monitor I am considering is a Dell P2715Q. I currently have a Lenovo LI2821 4k, but I am going to return it. My current graphics card is a PNY Quadro K420, which can support 4k at 60 Hz via the DP 1.2 port and the 2k monitor via the DVI port. The reason I am asking for advice is because I a little curious if someone knows of a another card would work better at a better price (I can still return the K420). I use the machine for general use, coding, and internet browsing (heavy text based usage), and I don't game.

My question is similar to the following, but I don't plan to use 2 4ks.

Solution
The quadro k420 is perfectly sufficient for what you are doing. If you wanted to upgrade to 2 4k screens in the future, you should look for something with 2 DP outputs. Something like the GTX 750 could also work for your situation but would leave open the option of easily adding more screens later. Different versions of that card come with different standard outputs. I don't see any reason to change unless you think you overpaid for the quadro k420.

Thanks for the advice. The GTX 750 and GTX 750 Ti are actually the alternatives I am considering. Not all 750 cards have a DP 1.2 output. Some just list DP, but no version number. Only version 1.2 supports 4k at 60 Hz, right? The card I have been looking at is the following:

The only downside to this one is that some reviews describe it as loud, because the fan speeds are apparently locked to discrete settings. I don't like loud (like most people), so this could be an issue. I can hear the K420, and it isn't bad, but it would be nice if it was more quite. Do you know of any good GTX 750 (Ti) cards that have at least one DP 1.2 and are quite?
