I'm putting together my first computer and am having a few troubles with the graphics card on the motherboard.

The card is a Radeon RX 580, and the motherboard is a B40 Tomahawk Max.

First of all, when I put it in normally, it looks like this: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/332438082475393024/662582932111753238/0102201904.jpg

However, after I start screwing in the screws closest to the card, it keeps popping out on one side, and I have to take the MB out and put it back in again.

I'm really at a loss here as to what I'm doing wrong. If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it.

Solution
You're putting your graphics card in the wrong slot. Put it in PCIE x16 slot closest to cpu.

Also possible, you have not installed standoffs in your pc enclosure.

  1. Install standoffs in pc enclosure;
  2. Screw in motherboard;
  3. Install graphics card only after #1 and #2 are done (not before).
