[SOLVED] Graphics card power Suppy requirements

It was recommended by a reputable dealer that I can install an ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with a power rating of 300W into a Dell Inspiron 3668 Desktop with a power supply of 240W. The machine has a small cavity so the size of the video card is a factor. While I know much about computers, I am not a gamer but do photography and need a better video card. Unfortunately, I can't afford a computer upgrade at the moment. The dealer says that the power requirements of the card and computer should not a problem. Would you agree?

First of all the GTX 1050 Ti is rated at 75 watts as far as I know.

As far as will it work,,,,I think that will depend on how much the rest of the system draws.

You could look up the draw of the CPU and whatever else you have connected.
The motherboard on that system might be around 50 watts.
