6500XT cheapest .. approx 220euros - getting close to MSRP
RTX3050 ... 370euros, at least 100euros higher than it should be

Prices haven't dropped here in the UK for weeks. You can get an RTX3060 for around £360 but 3060tis have sat at around £470 for ages. Same with RX6700s.

Nor have they dropped much in AU recently. In fact, this is the kind of false advertising we have to continually deal with. Based on the exchange rate of around A$0.72 to USD, and add GST and a few other bits and pieces you'd expect the RTX 3060 to be around $575.

Some retailers are advertising the the RRP (or MSRP), is as high as A$1299. That's outright rubbish. They'll try anything to coerce people into buying something.

Of course, stock is extremely hard to find, and households are being limited to ONE card only.

For AMD, only the RX 6800 and 6800 XT cost more than their official MSRPs of $650 and $580, respectively.

I've bolded the Newegg/eBay column prices for the lowest option. About half of the lowest prices are via eBay, but most are pretty close to what you'd pay at Newegg. Only the 3090 and 3090 Ti have relatively large discounts.

Gigabyte's 3080 10GBs have been $770 on Newegg the last couple days after a coupon code, though that doesn't change the value too much.

The 3060 Ti is usually available direct from MSI or Asus for less than it is on Newegg. It's $540 right now at MSI. EVGA's XC Black Gaming model goes for $480 from time to time at their webstore, but it usually sells out within a couple hours. There seems be very little stock available for the 3060 Ti in general. I'm not sure if this is because it sells extremely fast even at $500+ prices, or if Nvidia just isn't shipping many of them. You can track total inventory at Micro Center, and at any given time they'll have 100+ 3060s at my local store and like 5 - 15 3060 Tis. (edit: and they'll have even more 3050s, sometimes over 150. very few people seem to be buying those at $330+, but retailers seem reluctant to lower the price)

I was surprised by how close the 2 were in terms of performance in your table, so I went and did myself a bit of Googling.
Every single side-by-side video I found shows the Ti version outperforming the 12GB model by about 10% @ 1440p / Ultra and more than that at 4k.

I don't have acces to either of these GPUs to conduct my own testing, so I can only sit here with suspicion and discomfort over the provided data's general reliability.

For what it's worth, TechPowerUp and Hardware Unboxed also have benchmarked the 3080 12GB as being very close to the 3080 Ti in performance. The 1080p and 1440p data here are clearly running into bottlenecks though, since the 3080 12GB is clearly not better than the Ti in those resolutions when the GPUs are allowed to run at 100%.

I haven’t been watching prices too closely here in the UK but my brief observation is the biggest reductions have been with the higher end cards.

Thank you for the info! The $800 is my target, but they seem stuck at $900+ and $1000+ for the EVGA FTW model I want. This is all pushing me to even wait for the 4080, but I feel like it will be a year before those are available, and at a much higher markup.

Just wait a little bit longer, 1 month, 2 months because more miners will start selling. Most of the people that are buying those prices right now are new miners, but soon they will realize their mistake and they will stop buying. Then it will only be the gamers as the demand.
