SO i put together an awesome gaming rig, i plug it in the monitor with the dvi to hdmi cable and display port cable from my graphics card. The Pc boots up fine, the liquid cooling works the fans are spinning and graphics card fans are spinning. However there is no signal on the monitor. On the top right of the motherboard there is a white light, this means that there is a problem with the graphics card according to the manual. I reinstalled my card, replugged all the cables but it still shows the white light! My motherboard is the ASUS STRIX X370-F, My cpu is the ryzen 7 and the graphics card a GALAX gtx 1060 factory overclocked. please help!

Solution
Try a different Pcie Slot
ensure your PSU is capable of running the card (Proper pin connectors, proper wattage, etc.)
ensure your BIOs is updated.

Here's some stuff I found from the website, as related to requirements:

PCI Express-compliant motherboard with one dual-width x 16 graphics slot
1x 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors
Minimum 400W or greater system power supply
350MB of available hard-disk space
4GB system memory (6GB or higher recommended)
Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8 & 8.1, Windows 7(32 or 64-bit)
CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive or Internet connection
Windows XP no longer supported

Thanks for replying,
1.How do i update the bios?
I have a 6 pin connector on my graphics card and a 6+2 connector on my PSU, the power supply, sould that be a problem? I will try a different slot however that will block my capture card but ill give it a try.

Sorry, I forgot you have no way to even SEE the BIOS. I thought you had an intel chip for some reason.

Your Motherboard's most recent BIOs is v4024 and came out 9/21/18, quite recent. If you have an extra GPU lying around you can test to see if it functions in the same conditions. If it works, go into your BIOS and check the version with the one listed above.

As for the connectors a 6+2 is perfectly fine, just use the 6-pin.
