My graphics card has been working fine for the past couple of monthsI have had it for now ( ASUS gtx 1070) but I took it to my friends house and when I got home, the graphics card wasn’t working at all! There is power going to it but the weird thing is that it only works with one of the PCI-E slots! When I put one of them in, the fans come on and it has power and lights up, but has a red light. However, when I put the other PCI-E in, everything turns off and there is a white light now? I don’t understand what’s going on and don’t know how to fix it? I’m not sure if I accidentally hit the case when I was traveling, but wouldn’t have thought it would have made this much difference! And my Computer doesn’t seem to even notice that I have a graphics card anymore, even though it’s getting power from the motherboard but the computer isn’t using any of the graphics cards power! I have no idea what to do!

Solution
You are not changing slots with the system on are you? Try doing a BIOS reset on the system, see if the card works after that. Test the card in another system to make sure the card is OK, test another card in your system. If it works OK in the second slot, leave it there, one of the slots may just be bad.
